Vitamin A is a water-soluble vitamin for birds that do not produce vitamin A (or produce it insufficiently), such as pet birds, parrots, cockatoos, and canaries (recessive white). In the wild, curved beaks often eat foods rich in vitamin A. Curved beak seeds typically contain very little vitamin A, meaning supplementation is essential. Recessive white canaries cannot convert vitamin A from provitamin A, so supplementation is essential.
Signs of vitamin A deficiency:
Canaries (especially recessive white canaries): Poor breeding results.
Small, medium, and large birds and parrots: Nasal congestion and swelling of the upper eyelids, often accompanied by tearing. In severe cases, the eyelids may stick together, swelling between and behind the mandibles (indicating swelling of the salivary glands), damage to the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, and associated respiratory diseases.

Dosage and directions for use:
Mix with the bird's food. Suggested amounts per bird:
- Small birds: 1 drop every 4 days.
- Small parrots: 1 drop every 3 days.
- Large parrots: 2 drops every 2 days.
- Poultry: 3 drops every 2 days.
