Properties:
- Neomycin is a broad spectrum antibiotic (aminoglycoside group).
- Effective against gram-negative bacteria such as (E. coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Proteus, Enterobacter, E. coli, Campylobacter, Pseudomonas, Strobacillus, Vibrio, Yersina, Serratia).
- Effective against gram-positive bacteria such as (Listeria, Staphylococcus).
- Poorly absorbed from the intestine, which increases its effectiveness locally inside the intestine and thus its strong effect on bacterial intestinal infections.
- Non-toxic because it is not absorbed inside the intestine, and does not irritate the intestinal tissue.
- Rapidly soluble in water.
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains:
Neomycin sulphate 250 mg.
Indications for use:
- Poultry and birds: intestinal infections and diarrhea caused by salmonella, coli, blue crest (mud fever) and blackhead disease (histomoniasis).
- Sheep, goats, cattle and horses: Gastroenteritis, bloody diarrhea, winter dysentery, Vibrio dysentery, enterotoxemia (Clostridia).
Doses:
- Poultry and birds: 80 g per 200 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
- Sheep, goats, cattle and horses: 3 g per 50 kg body weight daily with drinking water for five days.
For each ton of feed: 2.5 kg.
- In case of severe infection: Double the dose during the first two days of treatment and then continue with the normal doses.
Safety period for meat consumption:
- Cattle: 30 days.
- Sheep: 20 days.
- Poultry and birds: 14 days.

Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature below 25°C.
